A framework for prescribed burning in WA

Aussie researchers have outlined a risk-based framework for prescribed burning in WA. The framework looks at different aspects of bushfire risk, as well has land use and fire management. It also looks at 13 different fuel types based on different types of vegetation and how they influence fire behaviour. Researchers say this framework can help fire managers carry out prescribed burns in a way that will help maintain and enhance the ecosystem and nature conservation.
