Today nearly 600 young people from all over Australia will gather online to celebrate the end of the National
Youth Science Forum’s (NYSF) 2021 Year 12 Program and inform them of the opportunities to come. Part of the celebrations will include a “Meet the Chiefs” panel featuring Chief/Lead Scientists from around Australia and Australia’s new Chief Scientist, Dr Cathy Foley AO, and is designed to help our students to learn about the STEM priorities and opportunities in different parts of our nation and to inspire them as they go forward into Year 12. They will be particularly interested in the key STEM industries and job opportunities available to them in the future. At the commencement of the event Prof Brian Schmidt AC, Vice-chancellor and President of the ANU will announce the winners of a challenge he set for students during the program.
