Biography

Teresa is an inquirer and an explorer, she started her career in medical research and later retrained as an epidemiologist. She holds a PhD in immunology and vaccine design and another in public health. In her current role as a research fellow, Teresa manages a project on determining the health and economic burden of drug resistant infections in Australian hospitals. She has more than 13 years of experience in research and has worked across academia, private and government sectors gaining insight into these diverse organisations.
She is a big believer in translational research and generating research that has impact on the community and health policy.
