Biography
Muireann Irish is a cognitive neuroscientist specialising in how complex processes such as memory, imagination, and social cognition are disrupted in dementia. She has received > $2million in competitive funding from the ARC and NHMRC and is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards including: 2014 NSW Young Tall Poppy Science award; 2015 L'Oreal-UNESCO For Women in Science Australia & New Zealand Fellowship; 2016 NSW Premier's Prize for Science & Engineering Early Career Researcher of the Year; 2016 Paul Bourke Award from the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia; 2016 Edgeworth David medal from the Royal Society of NSW; 2017 L'Oreal-UNESCO International Rising Talent Award.
