Restricting access to poisons is linked to a reduction in suicide by this method, without an equivalent shift towards suicide by other available methods, according to Australian led research. The study, which analysed data from 62 studies across 26 countries suggests limiting access to poison had the greatest impact when the poison was lethal and common.
