Transphobia common in sexual health care and it could discourage people from getting STI tests

Almost three-quarters of surveyed trans and gender diverse Australians say they have experienced gender insensitivity in sexual health care on at least two occasions. Experiences of gender insensitivity were most common in hospitals, followed by GP clinics. The study also found these experiences were associated with a lower likelihood of and less frequent HIV/STI testing.
