COVID-19 infection might result in memory trouble, according to an international study, which found that eleven per cent of participants reported memory problems eight months after a positive COVID-19 test, compared with only four per cent of people with negative COVID-19 test results. The study included almost 13,000 people from Norway who completed an online questionnaire after doing their COVID test and again eight months later.

What The Study Did: Researchers examined how common self-reported memory problems were in a large group of COVID-19 patients who weren’t hospitalized and had relatively mild disease. Eight months after the positive SARS-CoV-2 test, the prevalence of memory problems in this group was higher than in the control group with a negative test or in the untested control population.
