Recovering from a concussion? Avoid screens for a little while

Just had a concussion? It might be worth putting down the phone for a day or two, according to international researchers who looked at the screen time of 125 patients with concussion aged 12 to 25 and found limiting screen time might speed up concussion recovery. Those who abstained from screens in the first 48 hours of recovery experienced symptoms for a shorter period of time (3.5 days) compared with those who were permitted screen time (8 days), the team found. While this is preliminary research, the team says the results support recommendations to limit screen time just after a concussion. #science!
