NZ scientists key to COVID-19 response

Director General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield has credited Kiwi researchers as a critical asset in New Zealand's effective response to the pandemic. Writing in an editorial, Dr Bloomfield said that "strong ongoing scientific input" is among the key features of the country's success so far. He says clear and consistent communication, particularly around vaccination, will be essential for limiting the spread of the virus this year.
