The Moderna COVID-19 vaccine appears safe in adolescents with only mild side effects reported, according to a phase 2/3  trial of over 3000 teens aged 12 to 17. The study found the immune response in teens was similar to that seen in young adults, and the vaccine effectively prevented COVID-19 infection.
