Indoor growing makes weed less green

Growing cannabis indoors produces considerable greenhouse gas emissions, according to US research. Indoor growing is the most common type of commercial cannabis production in the US, but early analysis suggests that changing to outdoor cultivation could reduce these emissions by as much as ninety-six per cent. For places where cannabis can only be grown indoors, the authors recommend various ways to reduce the climate impacts.
