Healthier mums have healthier kids

Mother's who have poor mental and physical health during pregnancy, and in the year after giving birth, tend to have kids who also have poorer health as infants and adolescents, according to Australian research. The authors say this suggests that initiatives to improve mother's physical and mental health would not only improve child health but would also reduce the national health burden.
