A large majority of voters think it is important for Australia to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, according to Aussie researchers who surveyed Australian voters in 2019. The survey revealed that younger people hold stronger pro-climate attitudes than older people, and the researchers suggest may see increased support for climate action in the coming decade as younger voters replace old. The study also found that people who vote for progressive political parties and have higher levels of education are more likely to have pro-climate action attitudes.
