US scientists investigated the links between education levels and wealth and health and wellbeing in 10 countries, including 6,086 people from Australia. They found  that, in general, higher levels of education were consistently linked with better health, whereas higher levels of income were linked with higher levels of well-being. They also found you can more accurately predict a person's health and wellbeing by looking at their socio-economic status than by looking at other factors that affect health and wellbeing in their communities. So, it seems money CAN buy you happiness, but for good health, education matters more.
