People who self-reported having Long COVID also had worse financial and work outcomes, say US researchers. The team say these people who self-reported having Long COVID also reported worse work impairment, having missed more work, and were in more financial distress than people who never had Long COVID. Vaccinations were linked to improved work outcomes and less financial distress, even among people with Long COVID, the authors say. They found these issues were sustained for up to three years after they caught the bug, but were mitigated by a prior vaccination.
