Are you responsible for engaging with media on behalf of your organisation? Do you want a new way to promote your science news stories?

Scimex provides an easy, interactive way to showcase your organisation's research and build your media presence. Embargoed material can now be uploaded to the site giving opt-in, vetted journalists access to the material before the story goes public.

Over 2500 registered journalists in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific have access to your material (e.g. media release, paper, images). Further information on using Scimex to draw media attention to your research news story can be found here.

Media officers from research organisations can use Scimex to:

  1. Engage with journalists
  2. Disseminate your embargoed news stories to vetted journalists
  3. Add newsworthy events to our events listing

Register below to start using Scimex as a media officer. Registration is free for all media officers from research organisations, however there can be a fee involved to upload stories to the newsfeed. Australian organisations may pay for a single release, purchase a subscription or become an affiliate to submit news stories to the Scimex newsfeed. For more information on Australian pricing details, click here.

Please note, New Zealand organisations have a different setup and should contact the SMCNZ if they wish to upload stories to the newsfeed after registering here.
