Biography
Professor Liz Halcomb worked at the University of Western Sydney before being appointed Inaugural Professor of Primary Care Nursing at the University of Wollongong in 2013. Prior to commencing her academic career she worked in a range of acute care settings and clinical research units. Liz was awarded a PhD in 2006 for a mixed method project exploring the general practice nurse role in heart failure. Since that time her teaching and research interests have focused on general practice nursing, nursing workforce, chronic disease, nurse education and mixed methods research.Liz has published over 95 peer reviewed papers. She has received over a total of $1.9 million in research funding and has received grants from the NHMRC, ARC and OLT.Last updated: 25 Feb 2016
