Biography

Dr Sashindranath has over 12 years of experience in Neuroscience research and is an expert in the fields of brain injury and stroke. She currently works as a Senior Research Fellow with the Vascular Biology group in the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases, Monash University, where she leads a team of research assistants and PhD students. Her current research interests are focussed on improving outcomes in small vessel thrombosis and ischemic stroke. She previously worked as a Research Fellow at the Molecular Neurotrauma and Haemostasis laboratory in the same department. She has received and been named on grant applications amounting to over $150,000 and has been involved in securing 4 successful NHMRC grant applications. She has had 21 publications in the last 7 years.
