Biography

I have a background in physics and atmosphere/ocean sciences. Received Ph.D. in 1995 and was a professor at Yale University before coming to UNSW in 2009. I study climate change with an emphasis on atmospheric physical processes, especially water vapour, clouds and storms. I was a contributing author to the 2007 IPCC report and a lead author for the 2013 report. I also have contributed to many other documents on climate including the two "Questions and Answers" documents from the Australian Academy of Science.
