Biography
I am a marine ecologist with a passion for ecosystem restoration and oysters. I combine ecological research with social science to understand how society at large can play a greater role in marine stewardship and restoration.I have led Australia's oyster reef restoration program from an unknown ecosystem to a national scale restoration program within a decade. Among my diverse ecology research, I use underwater speakers to attract oysters to reef restorations to accelerate habitat recovery.
I work closely with local communities and all tiers of government on coastal marine conservation efforts.
