Biography
Rumpa Dasgupta is a Lecturer in Cybersecurity in the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology (CS&IT) at La Trobe University. Before joining La Trobe, she was a Lecturer in Cybersecurity and Networking at the University of South Australia (UniSA). She also worked as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Cyber Security Research at Deakin University, a Sessional Academic in the Faculty of Information Technology (FIT) at Monash University.Rumpa received her PhD from the Department of Software Systems and Cybersecurity at Monash University, Australia, in 2024. Her research primarily focuses on the cybersecurity of cyber-physical systems, human-centric cybersecurity, smart grid security, the security of the Internet of Energy, and software and network security. Her academic work has been published in top-tier peer-reviewed journals and conferences in her research field. She is a member of professional communities and associations such as IEEE and the Australian Women in Security Network (AWSN). She has served as a panel member at many conferences and as a reviewer for prestigious journals such as IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, AI & Society, Applied Energy.
