Biography
I'm an educator and researcher with a strong passion for aviation. I hold a Bachelor of Aeronautical Science, a Commercial Pilot License, multi-engine, instrument, and instructor ratings. Later, I pursued a Master's and PhD in Industrial and Transport Engineering, focusing my research on how pilots handle complex and unpredictable situations that don’t follow standard procedures or checklists. Over the years, I’ve worked in both operational and safety roles in the airline industry. One highlight was helping to establish a Human Factors division within an airline, supporting programs like CRM/Human Factors, LOSA, and fatigue risk management. I also collaborated with researchers and contributed to various safety initiatives. My main areas of interest are Safety Management Systems, ISO 45001:2018, Pilot training, and the use of simulation in operational training.Personal info
