A wide range of neurological problems have been reported as symptoms of COVID-19, from headaches to seizures and Guillain–Barré syndrome. In a narrative review, an Australian researcher outlines the various neurological symptoms linked to the virus and explores why the virus at various levels of severity might be causing these problems. He says assessing the link between COVID-19 and many of these symptoms is complicated, as many patients could be suffering these symptoms for unrelated reasons. However, the research that has come out of the pandemic could teach us more about how these problems arise independently of COVID-19, he adds.
