The pandemic made more Kiwis care about the environment

Many New Zealanders who were previously unconcerned about the environment, have started aspiring for a greener post-Covid future, according to a new survey of nearly 1000 people. The change was seen across demographics, and regardless of the financial or mental health toll the pandemic took – suggesting that the crisis gave rise to new dimensions of environmental concern that were experienced by most in society.
