Suffering from hair loss? Supplements may help

Publicly released:
International

A review of evidence has found that some nutritional supplements may be helpful for people suffering from hair loss. The researchers found that studies with the highest-quality evidence showed the potential benefit of supplements including Viviscal, Nourkrin, Nutrafol, Lamdapil, Pantogar, capsaicin and isoflavone, omegas 3 and 6 with antioxidants, apple nutraceutical, total glucosides of paeony and compound glycyrrhizin tablets, zinc, tocotrienol, and pumpkin seed oil. The researchers say people should discuss these supplements with their doctors, and further research should look at how these supplements compare with drugs approved for hair-loss treatment.
