Men who have been infected with COVID-19 without experiencing respiratory symptoms could still face a doubled risk of ischemic stroke, according to a Singaporian study. The researchers used hospital data to identify men under 50 who were treated for ischemic stroke after asymptomatic COVID-19. They calculated the instance of ischemic stroke among similar men after asymptomatic COVID-19 was 82.6 cases per 100,000, with pre-COVID-19 data showing an instance rate of 38.2 per 100,000 in a similar population.
