Sea level rise can change the highs and lows of estuary tides

Sea level rise is likely to increase the difference between the maximum and minimum tides in estuaries and change their overall tidal range patterns, according to Australian research. The authors say accelerating sea-level rise will have significant environmental and socio-economic impacts on hundreds of millions of inhabitants living within estuarine catchments.
