International researchers have found a link between men who have a genetic risk for prostate cancer and dying early from the disease. They looked at data from close to 20,000 men and say those with a higher genetic risk were three times more likely to die a prostate cancer-related death. The team adds that just over one-third of these deaths were estimated to have been preventable through factors related to healthy lifestyle changes.
