Neurodiverse kids with autism and ADHD are those most at risk of bullying

Kids with ADHD and those on the autism spectrum may be the most likely of all neurodiverse kids to experience bullying, according to Australian research. The study also found that teens with autism were more likely to be bullied than younger children on the spectrum. The researchers say kids with autism who did not have additional special healthcare needs experienced the most bullying, which they say would be because they are more likely to attend mainstream public schools where bullying is more prevalent, especially in areas with low socioeconomic status.
