More than one glass of soft drink a day could increase your risk of kidney disease

Drinking more than one glass a day of sugar-sweetened drinks, or artificially sweetened drinks per day could increase your risk of developing chronic kidney disease, according to an international study of over 120,000 people. The study found people who drank more than one glass a day of the no-sugar or sugar-containing varieties of sweet drinks increased their risk of developing kidney disease over ten years. Switching just one serve of these drinks over to a natural juice or water could also help reduce the risk of incident chronic kidney disease.
