The Moderna bivalent vaccine, which contains both omicron specific and original vaccine mRNA, was able to generate a potent antibody response against the BA.2.75 Omicron subvariant, known as 'Centaurus', according to US data. The authors say this suggests these vaccines have the ability to also work against emerging omicron subvariants that are not contained in the vaccine.
