A small study of 64 people has found that mindfulness meditation programs helped reduce the severity of problem online gaming and reduced people's addictive cravings for gaming. Addiction to online gaming, sometimes called internet gaming disorder, is considered a potentially new condition requiring further research, but researchers from China have found that a four-week training program in mindfulness meditation could help reduce the severity of problem gaming and decrease cravings compared to a four-week program focused on body relaxation.
