Trying to get your kids to eat more fruit and veg may be as simple as increasing the length of family mealtimes, according to German researchers. They found increasing mealtimes by as little as 10 minutes meant six- to 11-year-olds ate significantly more fruit and veg. The study looked at 50 families' mealtimes, with half the participants eating for their normal amount of time, and half spending 50% more time eating.
