People who survive a COVID-19 infection are at increased risk of a long list of neurological complications in the year after their infection, according to international researchers. The team measured the rate of conditions including stroke, memory disorders, nervous system disorders, migraine, seizures and mental health disorders among 154,068 COVID-19 patients compared to over 10 million controls. The researchers say they found increased risks of all the disorders mentioned above, and estimate 70.69 people in every 1000 people with COVID-19 will be impacted by at least one of these conditions.
