Catching COVID-19 a second time is substantially less likely for those who received the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine after their first infection, according to an Israeli study. The team looked at re-infection rates among a cohort of 150,000 people who had COVID-19 while unvaccinated. Just over half of them went on to receive at least one Pfizer vaccine while the rest remained unvaccinated during the 270-day study period. The researchers say among the vaccinated group, about 0.4 per cent tested positive again during the study, compared to about 3.3 per cent of the unvaccinated group.
