Aussies aren't very good at guessing their blood-alcohol content on a night out, according to Australian researchers. The team surveyed about 2000 people out at Queensland night-time entertainment precincts and asked them to estimate their BAC before testing it with a breathalyser. The researchers say those with a low BAC were likely to overestimate it, those with a higher BAC were more likely to underestimate it and mildly intoxicated participants were most likely to be accurate in their guess. The researchers say participants with a high BAC who underestimated it were more likely to report having been recently kicked out of a venue.
