How does Long Covid compare with chronic fatigue?

Publicly released:
International

There is a well-documented history of negative stereotyping and marginalisation of people with ME/CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome). However despite similar symptoms, Long Covid patients don't appear to be facing the same level of negative treatment. Researchers propose that this is because many Long Covid patients are healthcare professionals themselves, and there is a higher incentive to research the extent of Covid-19. However they also warn Long Covid could be subject to politicisation, especially around the best way to manage and treat patients.
