Making use of the ACT's cannabis law reforms has been easier and less stressful for some than it has been for others, according to Australian researchers who conducted in-depth interviews with 30 cannabis users in the area. The researchers say there are many grey areas in the legislation such as around the buying and sharing of cannabis products and drug driving laws, and those with privilege such as living in a less-policed area and having no police history felt more comfortable operating in those grey areas. They say this means more vulnerable members of the population may be less likely to benefit from the decriminalisation of cannabis as the legislation currently stands.
