A survey of nearly 800 New Zealanders working from home shows their housing quality is linked to how well they can do their job during a COVID-19 lockdown. Things that helped people work effectively from home included having a dedicated working area that was spacious, quiet, and well maintained, and had windows with a nice view. The researchers say that housing inequalities may prevent some employees from working from home or cause people to feel that they have to work in a poor environment.
