People with a smaller weight who have been vaccinated for COVID-19 may maintain higher antibody levels over time than those with a heavier weight, according to a small study in South Korea. The team tested the blood of 50 healthcare workers two, four and six months after their second dose to measure waning immunity. They say there was an inverse correlation between weight and antibody levels - 11 per cent of participants under 55 kilograms had fewer than 80% of their antibodies remaining at six months compared to 42% of those over 55 kilograms.
