Hate exercising? Vigorous housework or other daily living tasks could also help your heart

If you struggle to stick to a structured exercise program, doing more vigorous incidental activity throughout your day could still help your cardiovascular health, according to Australian research. The study looked at data from over 24,000 people who were 'non-exercisers' but who wore an activity tracker for a week to track their levels of activity. The researchers found that people who did vigorous or moderate intensity incidental physical activity daily had lower cardiovascular risks. The more vigorous or moderate intensity activity packed into their day, the lower the risk.
