EXPERT REACTION: Syrian chemical attack
A suspected gas attack in Syria early this morning has reportedly killed around 100 civilians, and injured close to 500. It is unclear which chemical was used in the attack or whether it is the same chemical, Sarin, that was used in the last major gas attack in Syria in 2013. Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Julie Bishop have condemned the attack. Experts comment below on the the use of chemical weapons in this kind of attack.
