Australia's ‘Measuring What Matters’ (MWM) reports are deisgned to measure 50 indicators of Australians' wellbeing within five ‘themes’', but Australian experts say the these indicators slightly overemphasises financial security and money, and underemphasises some of the more personal aspects of wellbeing, such as family relationships, and sense of purpose and meaning. The researchers also found that the consultation process to develop these indicators was not comprehensive, wide-reaching or transparent.
