The diabetes drug Ozempic (semaglutide), which became a viral hit for weight loss thanks to TikTok, has now been shown to be effective at reducing Body Mass Index (BMI) in obese teens. The small study of around 200 teens found that after just over a year, around 73% of people taking the drug had weight loss of 5% or more, as compared with just 18% taking a placebo.
