Researchers have found a clear link between New Zealand children's exposure to unhealthy food and drink marketing, and their food preferences and eating habits, following a comprehensive review of research on the topic.  They say unhealthy food marketing is ubiquitous, and call for bans on the use of cartoon characters on packaging, bans on sports sponsorship, limits on social media marketing, and bans on marketing near schools, on buses, and on trains.
