Babies who are exclusively breastfed for 3 months or longer may have a lower risk of childhood cancer, according to a Danish study. The study included all Danish kids born between 2005 and 2018 and found that there was a lower rate of blood cancers in kids who were exclusively breastfed for 3 months or longer. A linked editorial by an Australian expert says the findings add to the existing evidence about the critical importance of exclusive breastfeeding, including potential additional cost savings.
