Helping new mums breastfeed via a video call could lead to better outcomes for both mum and baby, say international researchers. The team randomised 442 women into either receiving a video call to support their breastfeeding or no call. The researchers say the women who had support had significantly higher rates of exclusively breastfeeding at a two-month check-in, and felt much more confident in their abilities to breastfeed, than the group that didn't receive the video call.
