Aussie GPs have concerns about keeping safe from COVID-19

One year on from COVID-19 being declared a pandemic, an Australian survey has found that GPs still have concerns about patients coming to their clinics with flu-like symptoms that could be COVID-19, as well as concerns for the safety of their colleagues and family, and worries about catching COVID-19 themselves. The survey found they also have concerns about the effect of the pandemic on their patients and patients delaying essential care for non-COVID-19 conditions. GPs said they needed more information, education and resources on vaccines to help them manage their role in the COVID-19 pandemic, which they saw as being to educate the public, correct misunderstandings and provide the COVID-19 vaccine.
