UK scientists say those most at risk of dying from the Omicron variant of COVID-19 despite being double vaxxed and boosted are older men. There was no clear link between risk of death and ethnicity, they say. The findings were based on analysing 4,781 deaths from COVID-19 in the UK. Older men should be considered a priority for COVID-19 therapeutics and further booster doses, the researchers conclude.
