Three-times higher chance of catching COVID-19 six months after jab

In a massive US study, people who were vaccinated at least six months prior were 3.4 times more likely to catch COVID-19 than people jabbed more recently; this trend was found across ages and vaccines. While death rates were low for all vaccinated groups, mortality rates increased for older adults who got the Pfizer jab in earlier months. This study found the Moderna vaccine’s protection was sustained in regard to deaths. The authors say their work adds to the evidence for booster shots, especially for older adults who’ve had the Pfizer vaccine.
